COVID-19 SPECIFIC RISKS
Any person-to person contact inevitably carries a risk of transmitting the Covid-19 virus. This will be minimised by collectors, Rotarians and Santa maintaining a social distance of at least two metres from children, other members of the public and each other and by wearing face masks, gloves and by using hand sanitiser. No collector shall enter a house or other dwelling at any time
Santa will always remain in the sleigh. Parents will be asked not to let their children approach Santa and explain the reason why. One collector will be charged specifically with ensuring that no person goes near the float. Should a group gather despite warnings the float will immediately move on.
Santa will not be present at a static collection.
Rotarians will serve as collectors, some with collection buckets held at least at arm’s length .and others with card readers to receive contactless donations debit or credit card.
